mihomo (Clash Meta) is the core bundled inside most of the GUI clients above. Standalone binaries here target servers, routers, and self-hosted setups: running from the command line, systemd-managed services, OpenWrt deployment, and so on. Regular desktop and phone users don't need to download the core separately—just use one of the GUI clients above.

SmartScreen shows a "Windows protected your PC" warning for open-source installers with low download counts or no paid code-signing certificate. This is a reputation-scoring mechanism, not a sign that a threat was detected. Click "More info" in the prompt, then "Run anyway" to continue installing. Since most open-source clients are released by community teams that don't buy commercial signing certificates, this warning is fairly common.
This is Gatekeeper's default block on apps that haven't been notarized.
